Products
Rootgrow™ 'friendly' mycorrhizal fungi are all-UK origin species of fungi that are proven to benefit plants under UK soil conditions and climate. This is the first and currently the only plant or soil treatment to be licensed by the RHS.
Mycorrhizal (or 'friendly') fungi play an important role in developing healthy, strong plants. The fungi occur naturally in soil, effectively creating a secondary root system which grows out into the soil searching for nutrients and water in exchange for carbon from the plant.
RHS gardeners have found that by adding rootgrow at planting time, the treated plants:
- Have superior plant establishment with better natural vigour;
- Overcome replant problems more successfully;
- Have better developed root systems; and
- Are better able to cope with conditions of drought.
Rootgrow products are suitable for use with nearly all plants including trees, shrubs, vegetables, bedding plants, flowers and roses.
