Ball Colegrave is celebrating its 10th year as the official plant supplier to the prestigious RHS National Flower Bed Competition, during which time it has seen the competition go from strength to strength to become a major feature at the RHS Show Tatton Park.
As the leading supplier of seed and young plants of bedding plants to the professional trade, the company felt it had a responsibility to ensure the public was given an opportunity to appreciate the true beauty of bedding plants and at the same time learn about new varieties they too can use in their own gardens. There was no better way to do this than by showing the company's own varieties in display gardens designed by the UK's talented parks, local authorities and communities.
The organisation’s association with the competition has aligned it not only with a part of the show that is the ultimate crowd pleaser, exciting lots of public engagement, but also with the issues surrounding local authority parks departments, including stimulating communities to get more involved with their green spaces.
