Collections at the RHS libraries
The RHS libraries have many collections that can help you pursue your passion for gardening, whatever your special interests and enthusiasms.
Modern and Garden Library Collections
These collections are available for anyone to browse at the Garden Libraries at each of the RHS gardens and in Lindley Library, London. RHS members can borrow from the lending collections at Wisley, London and Harlow Carr.
Research Collections
If you are planning to visit the library to consult materials from the art, rare books, archive, research and ephemera collections please contact us in advance, especially if you are travelling from a distance. This will allow us to check on the availability of the material you wish to consult, and to ensure that we have study space available.

Art Collections
The Art Collections team provide personal assistance to artists and researchers and space is limited. Book an appointment ideally two weeks or more in advance, letting us know what you would like to see. Art collections appointments last up to 1.5 hours.
Registration
You will need to register the first time you use the Research or Art Collections. RHS members will need to bring their RHS membership card; non-members will need to bring two forms of identification.
