The RHS Lindley Library holds the finest collection of horticultural literature in the world, as well as a renowned collection of botanical paintings and other pictures plus important archives.
The collections provide an unmatched reference to the influences and knowledge that underpin our rich horticultural heritage, and are used by scholars, garden writers, keen gardeners and many members of the public. The RHS Lindley Library at Vincent Square, Westminster, and through branches in each of the RHS gardens is open free to everyone.
We have recently assessed the collection, which will inform our work to protect and conserve them for the future. Significant further progress has been made in cataloguing the core collections.
