Elite Gift Boxes

The range of Tulipa Elite Gift BoxesTulipa

Bring the work of a great 17th Century artist into your home with these Tulipa Tins.

It is unusual to find tins that are lavished with so much attention to detail, but the original paintings held in the RHS Lindley Library were so inspiring and asked for something special to be done. The tins have a matt finish, which gives a smooth and sophisticated appearance, with spot gloss on the tulips which makes them shine out, catching the light. Each tin is also printed on the inside in a soft turquoise green so when they are opened they glow with a luxurious feel.

Not only is the colour reproduction of the highest quality, Van Kouwenhoorn’s art has been digitally restored to its original glory, with rich reds and yellows and a translucency that really captures the subject.

The tin bases are printed with the provenance of the art, information about the artist and some interesting tulip facts.

The range consists of 11 items in a choice of sizes, and is available to buy at most of the RHS shops and from various gift shops in the UK.

Not much is known about Miss Williamson, including her first name. Therefore she has not been conclusively identified. However, this illustration is taken form an album of 35 coloured drawings of irises made for Ellen Willmott during the years 1904-1908, apparently from varieties flowering in her garden at Warley Place, near Brentwood in Essex.

Iris monspur is a hybrid resulting from the crossing of Iris monnieri and Iris spuria by Sir Michael Forster. They are known as the Iris Monspur Group and valued for there stature and glorious blue flowers.
