Up to £1,000 is available to gardeners and horticultural students to help develop their career.

Aim

This bursary is available to aid a project/work placement that will particularly benefit the applicant’s horticultural career development.
It aims to provide financial support for travel and/or accommodation.

This award was established in 1999 from a generous donation by Dr Elizabeth Laverick and Mrs Frances Clark in memory of their father William Rayner.

General conditions of application

  • The award is open to students and trainees in horticulture, along with working gardeners, subject to the detailed conditions of applications.
  • There are no age restrictions.
