Stuart Logan - Master of Horticulture
After retiring from British Airways in 2000 with more than 13,000 hours of flying experience, Stuart is once again flying high after gaining the Society's highest qualification.
The son of two keen gardeners, the hobby was bound to take hold sooner or later, and in the 1980s, after two decades of amateur gardening, Stuart started a small business designing orchards and pruning fruit trees.
He studied part-time for a City & Guilds qualification in amenity horticulture and then began studying for his Master of Horticulture, with revision for various horticultural exams conducted sitting beside hotel swimming pools around the world.
Stuart is a member of the Garden Media Guild and hopes to expand his writing activities, as well as continuing to promote the cause of traditional English apples.
