Britain in Bloom winners announced

Falkland, in Scotland, has been crowned the 2009 Champion of Champions in the RHS Britain in Bloom Awards in a ceremony in Torbay, hosted by BBC Gardeners' World presenter, Toby Buckland.
This year 18 finalists received Gold, 36 received Silver-Gilt, 14 received Silver and 1 received Bronze awards.

- Pitlochry (Scotland): Small Town
- Broughshane (Ulster): Large Village
- Chipping (North West): Village
- Tarrington Village (Heart of England): Small Village
- Birmingham City Centre (Heartof England): Urban Community
- St Brelade (Jersey): Coastal (12k and below)
- Cleethorpes (East Midlands): Coastal (12k and above)
