Nice things come in small packages

Sedum roofWhatever the size of your garden space - be it a tiny courtyard or front garden, roof space or windowsill - with a little research, together with a sense of style, these small spaces can be turned into areas that will not only enhance your property, but will also give you immense pleasure.

The hardest part about designing and styling a small space is to know what NOT to include! Small gardens by their very nature are confining, and to cram in lots of different elements will only result in a cluttered space that will feel even smaller.

The best plan is to keep it simple. And remember, while you may be limited to space on the ground, you can always go upwards - the sky IS the limit. A tiny space can be full of potential and needn't be limiting. If anything, it is as much about styling as it is about gardening.
