Busy, busy, busy. . .
It's an insanely busy time for us, as well as the usual planting up and sowing like mad, we're planting the new teaching garden for the new Learning Centre. There are two demo 3x3m plots up there as well as some raised beds for the children to sow and plant.
All our tender plants such as courgettes, French and runner beans and annuals are ready to go out now. Thank goodness for some welcome rain at the weekend, cos we’re really fed up of watering – although everything is really growing as you watch it almost, and the veg beds are looking much fuller than a week ago even.
Also doing some prep for the Grow Your Own weekend on 3 - 4 July. It's all about salads, so we are growing a wide range of crops from the common to the bizarre, such as salsola, and flowers too.
