Vegetable beds and orchard

Simon Akeroyd

I'm Simon Akeroyd, and I'm one of the team leaders at RHS Garden Wisley. I have responsibility for looking after the model fruit gardens, orchards and vegetable gardens. I worked previously as a horticultural researcher for the BBC and was head gardener of a large estate in Surrey where I restored a walled garden to its former glory. I'm also a very keen beekeeper and look after the Wisley apiary situated next to the national heather collection in Howard’s Field.
