Chief Scientist on changing climate

24 October 2012

Julia Slingo

The Met Office’s Chief Scientist, Julia Slingo OBE, will be the guest speaker at this year’s John MacLeod Annual Lecture.

Her presentation entitled ‘Gardening in a Changeable Climate’, will take place in central London on 22 November at 4.30pm. The event is by invitation only, but we are pleased to be able to offer 20 free tickets to RHS members, on a first-come, first-served basis.

The John MacLeod Annual Lecture was established in memory of the late John MacLeod, an eminent scientist, RHS Professor of Horticulture and Chairman of the RHS Science Committee.

To request a ticket, send an email with your membership number, name and address, with John MacLeod Lecture’ as the subject, to: scienceadmin@rhs. org.uk by 9 November 2012.
