A descriptive term applied to bulbs that are transplanted while they still have leaves. This method is often used for bulbs that resent drying out, such as snowdrops (Galanthus), snowflakes (Leucojum), winter aconites (Eranthis), wood anemones (Anemone nemorosa) and hardy cyclamen.
