Parking
Designated parking available near garden entrance.
Drop-off point
Although there is not a designated drop-off point, arrangements can be made in advance, Monday-Friday.
Wheelchairs
Six manual wheelchairs and four electric mobility scooters are available at the garden entrance for ‘on the day use’. Advanced booking is recommended on 01423 724681.
Toilets
There are accessible WCs at the main entrance, Bettys Café Tea Rooms and the RHS Shop and Plant Centre. Ambulant disabled WCs are located in the garden.
Essential companions
Unfortunately attendants cannot be provided, however one essential companion is admitted free of charge per wheelchair user, blind or partially sighted visitor or other person whose disability necessitates an essential companion.
Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome in all areas of the garden and buildings including the RHS Shop and Plant Centre, Bettys Café Tea Rooms and the Bramall Learning Centre.
Access to gardens
The gardens are accessible. Please note, however, that this is a sloping site that, in some areas, is quite steep. Some path surfaces may be difficult, e.g. pebbles. We offer the loan of manual wheelchairs and electric mobility scooters to help you enjoy the entire garden.
Plans of our recommended routes are available from the entrance.
Garden seating
There are approximately 200 benches sited around the garden at regular intervals. These are of varying height with the majority offering arm rests.
For blind and partially sighted visitors
We are endeavouring to improve our facilities for blind and partially sighted people and in the meantime please ask our staff for assistance, who will be happy to assist if required.
For hearing impaired visitors
Portable induction loops are available upon request for use at the entrance and RHS Shop and Plant Centre till points.
