Family visits

Discover... explore... enjoy

RHS Garden Hyde Hall is the perfect place for families to discover the great outdoors. It offers a great day out for all the family with plenty to keep the children occupied.

Activities all year round

There's plenty to do at Hyde Hall all year round. Be sure to make the Information Centre your first port of call where you will find ‘I-spy’ spotter sheets and themed trails that take you on a journey of discovery around the garden.

With big open skies Hyde Hall is the perfect place for kite flying. Children who bring their own kite (during school holidays & weekends) will be admitted free.

We also have a small play area situated near to the Visitor Centre.

Eating at Hyde Hall

Eat out: We have a dedicated picnic area within easy reach of the car park or you may picnic in the garden itself.

Eat in: The restaurant menu offers a wide variety of cooked meals and snacks made on the premises. We provide children's lunch boxes and all our hot meals can be served as a half-portion for children. High chairs are readily available and bottle warming facilities are available on request.

A sheltered tea garden provides a sunny outdoor dining area on warmer days.

Child-friendly facilities

We have two toilet blocks and a spacious baby care facility located in the main Hilltop Garden.

The majority of garden areas are pushchair/wheelchair friendly, but please note that during winter months some of the grassed areas may not be fully accessible. Manual wheelchairs are available for those less able (a refundable deposit is required).
