Renovated Wisley garden unveiled

12 August 2010

Laurence and Jackie Llewelyn-Bowen are at RHS Garden Wisley on 25 August from 3-6pm to launch the renovated Agriframes Garden, which has been designed by Laurence.

Laurence, best known for his appearances on BBC television's Changing Rooms, will also be talking about the inspiration behind the garden.

Situated among the Model Gardens, this revamped garden offers great ideas for visitors to take home. Arches and a Gothic gazebo provide perfect frameworks for climbing plants such as roses and wisteria. The garden is designed to provide interest over a long period, with bursts of colour and scent for many months of the year, from Clematis armandii ‘Apple Blossom’ and wisteria in spring, to agapanthus and Trachelospermum asiaticum in summer.

The Agriframes Garden also has entertainment for the children on the opening day. As part of the Great Garden Adventure for families this August at Wisley, there will be a magician and puppet show on hand. Elsewhere in Wisley's garden, other activities include a sunflower maze to explore. Throughout August children 16 or under get into RHS Garden Wisley for free.
