Wheelchairs
Eight manual wheelchairs at garden entrance. Available for ‘on the day’ use or for booking - individuals can book the day before their visit, groups need to book in advance and can book a maximum of two wheelchairs.
Electric scooters (Trampers)
Two Powered Mobility Vehicles are available for guests with limited mobility, free of charge, subject to membership to the Countryside Mobility South West Scheme.
Pre booking is essential.

Countryside Mobility Yearly Membership - £10 (passport size photo required)
Once you are a member of the Countryside Mobility South West scheme you may use ‘Trampers’ at many different sites across the South West.

Before you can use a Tramper you will be provided with some basic training so please allow 15-20 minutes at the start of your visit.
Toilets
Adapted unisex WCs in visitor centre and Rosemoor House.
Carers
Attendants cannot be provided, but one companion is admitted free of charge per wheelchair user, visually impaired visitor or other person whose disability necessitates a carer.

Welcomed in all areas.
Access to buildings
Visitor Centre, shop, plant centre, restaurant, lecture hall, library - all accessible. Access to log cabin (education centre) - please call in advance to arrange installation of removable ramp.
Access to gardens
Formal garden - mostly accessible.
Lady Anne’s garden, lake and woodland walks - limited access due to slopes and steps
Vegetable garden - accessible

For visually impaired visitors
Large print maps are available for visually impaired visitors.
For hearing impaired visitors
Hearing loops are installed at the Entrance Kiosk, Lecture Hall and Learning Centre. Audio Magazine copies of The Garden are available from the reading room.
For visitors with learning difficulties
At present there are no special facilities available.
