Spend a colourful Easter with us
The days are lengthening and warming....spring is here! Celebrate the new season with us, whatever the weather. Drop into a colourful craft workshop, follow the Easter Trail, and see delightful newly-hatched Easter chicks and ducklings in our foyer.
Easter Trail: 29 March - 14 April
Get out into the fresh air and try our Easter Trail! Follow the clues through the garden, solve the puzzle and collect your chocolate reward at the front entrance kiosk.
Daily 10am-4pm
Rainbow kites workshop: 3 April
Join Mrs Recycle for this drop-in workshop. Use clean colourful waste to make your own kite for flying 'way up high into the atmosphere'!
11am-1pm and 2-4pm
The Colours of the Rainbow workshop: 8 April
Learn how colour is made in different ways using light and paints. Get funky with foam colour tiles to make your very own mosaic rainbow! Please wear old clothes.
11am, 12noon, 2pm and 3pm. Admission is by timed ticket.
Rainbow shades discovery walk: 9 April
Join Yvonne for a bracing tramp around the garden and see what you can find. Then stick your fallen petals and leaves onto your shade card to form the colours of the rainbow. Please wear old clothes.
11.30am and 2pm. Admission is by timed ticket.
Rainbow knitting sessions: 11 & 12 April
Learn to knit and/or crochet with local knitting superstars Alison and Ann Murray. Already mastered the basics? Then come along and learn some new techniques and ways to knit using a rainbow of colours. All materials provided. Under 8’s welcome but each must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
11am, 12noon, 2pm and 3pm. Admission is by timed ticket.
