Drop-Off Point
Although there is no designated drop-off point, arrangements can be made for small coaches in the disabled car-park area nearest to the entrance.

Mobility scooters
Three mobility scooters at the garden entrance. Please call 0845 260 9000 in advance to reserve a scooter for your visit.
Electric Mobility Vehicle
The mobility vehicle is free of charge and runs from 10am to 4pm (10am to 3pm in winter) each day. It starts from the edge of the conifer lawn and runs continuously around the garden, taking approximately 30 minutes to complete a circuit. There is a pause in service at lunchtime.
While on the vehicle, for your own safety, you MUST wear the seatbelts provided and keep your hands and head inside the vehicle at all times. Children under 16 must be accompanied on the vehicle. In adverse weather conditions the vehicle may not run.

Toilets
Adapted unisex WCs in car-park area, in the main catering facilities, and at points around the garden. Accessible without assistance to manual wheelchairs only.
Carers
Attendants cannot be provided, but one companion is admitted free of charge per wheelchair user, visually impaired visitor or other person whose disability necessitates a carer.

Welcomed in all areas.
Access to buildings Restaurant, cafeteria, coffee shop, gift shop, plant centre - all accessible to manual and electric wheelchairs.
Access to gardens
The gardens are accessible. There is a recommended wheelchair route through the garden. Please note that some areas - e.g. the Rock Garden - have limited access to some parts due to the nature of the garden. Wheelchair route information leaflet available from the gatehouse.

For hearing impaired visitors
Hearing loop installed in the main Hillside Events Centre hall.
For visitors with learning difficulties At present there are no special facilities available.
