Orchids in the Glasshouse
16 March - 21 April 2013

Our bold and beautiful Orchids in the Glasshouse event brings you face to face with a towering volcano of Ludisia orchids, fiery Cymbidiums and Phalaenopsis. Brilliant colour, tropical heat and exotic displays create a paradise for orchid lovers and enthusiasts alike!
Stroll through the avenue of striking Oncidiums leading to a fantasy island created out of cool climate Coelogynes, Zygopetalums and other choice orchids, evoking the forest landscapes of the Himalayas.
Onward to the tropical zone and here you will find delicate Dendrobium and Phalaenopsis planted in clouds along with boldly coloured Vandas.
Don’t miss the new ‘Living Room’ installation in the Glasshouse Gallery where the ever-popular Phalaenopsis is displayed, showing its full potential as the ideal plant for the home orchid grower.
In this ‘home from home’ you will also find a display of prints from the RHS Lindley Library Orchid Collection to browse and buy.
This event is free with normal garden entry.
