Nurturing nature
 |
At Coombes School the school grounds have become Coombes' largest and most valuable classroom. Lessons take place in the bluebell woods, the playground where there are enough tree trunks and structures for the whole school to sit on, the tree houses and many other areas for exploration. |
The students are involved in digging, planting, pond dipping, making sculptures from the clay soil, looking after the sheep and growing their own pumpkins for Halloween.

The gardens at Coombes are a wonderful example of what can be achieved with care and cooperation. The best bit is that everyone has fun while they learn and help the environment. |
