Submission meeting
Any artists who have not exhibited in the past and would like their work considered for exhibition are invited to submit examples of their drawings to the Picture Committee for the Annual Summer Selection meeting. The next Annual Summer Selection meeting will be held in August 2008. Please ensure your artworks are with the Secretary of the Picture Committee no later than Friday, 1 August 2008.
Do not send artworks without first contacting the Picture Committee Secretary
Picture submissions
Four original examples of botanical illustration mounted but not framed (artists from overseas should send actual size reproduction prints of their work) are to be sent to the Picture Committee Secretary before the selection meeting. These should be labeled with the artist’s name and address and the subject of the drawing. These do not need to be on a theme. Group exhibitors should ensure that one piece from each artist is submitted. No more than four examples will be considered.
It is recommended that you hand deliver and collect you art works from the Picture Library, by appointment with the Picture Committee Secretary. If, however, you are unable to do so please make alternative arrangements with the Picture Library Curator. If posting your art works within the UK, it is strongly recommended that they are sent 'Special Delivery' or by art courier. The RHS will not take responsibility for the condition of artworks posted or couriered.
Artworks will be available for collection from Tuesday 26 August 2008. Delivery and collection of artwork is by appointment only, please confirm details with the Picture Library.
Artists will be written with feedback from the Picture Committee.
