Get snapping and win £1,000
15 July 2010
Now is the time to get out into the garden and get snapping for your chance to win the RHS Photographic Competition, which celebrates the best in gardens and garden imagery. But be quick: entries close on 31 August.
Open to amateur and professional photographers alike, the competition has six categories, including the prestigious RHS Photographer of the Year, which offers a top prize of £1,000. Children and young photographers can compete for the title of RHS Young Photographer of the Year by entering one of two categories based on their age.
Competition sponsor Medici Cards also offers its own special category – The Medici Cards Award – presented to the photographer with the most outstanding eye for commercial photography. The winning image in this category will be made into a professional Medici greetings card.
"Each year the competition attracts thousands of entries, reaffirming our belief that Britain truly is a nation of gardeners," says James Arnold, Licensing Manager for the RHS.
"The quality of entries is outstanding and it’s fabulous to see so many children now getting outdoors and experiencing nature through the lens of a camera."
