Tickets on sale for RHS October show
26 August 2010
Tickets are now on sale for the RHS Autumn Harvest Show, a celebration of the season's finest fruit, flowers and veg, to be held at the RHS Horticultural Halls.
One of the many highlights of the show, 5-6 October, will be a spectacular feature of dahlias, fruit and vegetables by Jon Wheatley, in association with Winchester Growers. Jon helped design the Gold medal-standard RHS feature, Home Grown, at Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2010 and won Gold medals at Hampton and Chelsea for sumptuous dahlia displays.
Another RHS Chelsea 2010 Gold-medal winner, Interflora, will create a vast, show-stopping curtain of autumn flowers and foliage draped spectacularly from the ceiling.
Nurserymen and growers will also be demonstrating the art of creating head-turning hanging baskets, containers and patio features, so that visitors go home inspired to make more of their outside space.
Mouth-watering produce, like apples, pumpkins and carrots will line the tables of Lindley Hall for a major fruit and vegetable competition to display champion produce. Other harvest displays include salads, chutney, chillies and a whole array of immaculately presented delights to tempt both the eye and palate.
- The RHS Horticultural Halls are at Greycoat Street, SW1. Nearest tubes are St James's Park and Victoria.
