There are some plants that seem to shout early summer: they herald the time of year when frosts are well gone, colour is in full swing and we can enjoy the garden all day. This issue celebrates some of those plants. Also in this issue we look at pak choi, seeing how different cultivars fared in the 2010 RHS trial. Sown now pak choi is a versatile and fast growing addition to any kitchen garden.
