RHS Chelsea Flower Show Charity Gala Preview Official Jewellery
The RHS Chelsea Gala Official Jewellery was launched in 2012 in which the Icelandic goldsmith, Kristjan Eyjolfsson designed and created the first Chelsea Gala pin. The jewellery was exclusively available for Chelsea Gala Dinner guests and due to the success of the launch, the opportunity to own a piece of the collection has now been extended to all ticket holders for 2013. In 2012, the pin was based on the Magnolia x soulangeana flower (pictured left) and was created using recycled silver and an ethically sourced, carved pearl.
In addition to creating the first of the jewellery collection, Kristjan also designed and created a very special brooch (pictured left) for Her Majesty, The Queen on behalf of the RHS to mark her Diamond Jubilee. This brooch was presented to Her Majesty at the 2012 Chelsea Flower Show.
2013 Chelsea Gala Centenary Pin
To mark the Centenary of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Kristjan will once again design and make a special piece of jewellery. Inspired by Sir Harry Veitch, the nurseryman who first brought the Flower Show to Chelsea, the Calanthe × veitchii Orchid Flower Pin will be made of 100% Recycled Silver and an ethically-sourced Yellow Sapphire.
The Chelsea Gala pin is £150 and all profits will support the RHS charitable work. The jewellery is only available to successful ticket holders. For more information please call Special Events on 0845 3700 128. The pin will be securely delivered prior to the Gala to ensure that guests who have purchased the Chelsea Gala Official Jewellery will be able to wear their pin on the evening.
