This garden has been designed to raise awareness of the charity Making Space, which provides support for carers and the cared for in the field of mental health.

Access along an undulating slate path portrays the difficult life many experience. Beyond the Phyllostachys nigra, the passageway becomes easier, with a specimen tree symbolising clouds blowing away for a brighter future. Supportive intervention from a Carer Support Worker is represented by the warm tones of a sandstone path.

A circular bed of yellow English roses and a lawn area surrounded by restful green, lilac and mauve planting provide a tranquil place of optimism. These colours echo the logo of Making Space.
