Explore BBC Gardeners' World Live

21 years of Gardeners' World Live

More than two decades on, the show is going from strength to strength.

Launched in 1992 as a spin off to the BBC TV series Gardeners’ World, the show is now in its 21st year.

Originally organised by BBC Haymarket Exhibitions, in 1996 Haymarket and the RHS formed a partnership to run the event. The RHS organises the horticultural content which includes the Floral Marquee, Show Gardens, Birmingham Borders, Edible Patches, Horticultural Features (including Gardening for Wildlife), Plant Avenue, Ask the Experts and Seeds of Knowledge.

In 2005 the event became co-located with BBC Good Food and since has included the BBC Summer Festival, Good Food & Good Homes and Countryfile. As the show now stands it includes BBC Good Food Summer, BBC Gardeners’ World Live and Countryfile.

Last year we welcomed 112,000 visitors to the show.
