Entirely constructed within a large blacked-out marquee, the garden takes you on a journey to experience how the personality of a space can be completely transformed after dark. Through the clever use of eco-friendly lighting a range of effects is achieved from high drama to the soft and intimate: trees become theatrical focal points, complex shadow patterns take on a life of their own, ordinary hedges become dramatic, textured backdrops and illuminated reflections in the pool change subtly. Scale, texture, colour and scent take on new dimensions allowing the senses to be charged at different points along the route.
