Rural Architecture is a modern take on the Wordsworth poem of the same name. Set in the Lake District near Keswick it tells the tale of three boys who climb to the top of Great How to build a giant out of stone. The garden depicts a typical Lakes crag, stony and windswept, and the planting is that which would be found in such a spot: birches, pines, mountain ash, gorse, juniper, heathers and grasses. Also typical of the Lake District is the dry stone wall that surrounds the crag, with a dew pond as used by the moorland sheep and other animals.
