What's new at the show in 2012

Check out the diverse and exciting range of interactive areas and plant displays at this year’s Malvern Spring Gardening Show.

Plants & People Theatre

Gardeners of all levels can pick up the latest tips and new ideas at the Plants & People Theatre, featuring talks and Q&A sessions by UK’s leading nurseries and top gardening experts. These include:

  • Carol Klein
  • Jekka McVicar
  • Chris Beardshaw
  • Terry Walton
  • Joe Swift.

The theatre set has been designed with a living landscape theme by Paul Hervey-Brookes.

Painting with Plants

Enter a new competition to create a small flower bed or border display at the show - design a display that represents your favourite artwork, landscape view or photograph. The most creative displays can be enjoyed in the Painting with Plants Gallery and three winning displays will receive £1,000 for their nominated environmental charity or cause.

Allotment Theatre

This is the perfect place to pick up growing tips and enjoy talks, demonstrations and Q&A sessions, all hosted by Terry Walton and Reg Moule. The Allotment Theatre is the venue for presentations about the Best of the Best Gardening Gadgets; the winning gadgets are on display in the Gardeners’ Shopping Pavilion

Eco Art & Garden Area

This area features a show garden, demonstrations and displays relating to ‘upcycling’ in the garden, and art exhibits with a gardening theme

Landscaping Live

In this demonstration area you can see a completed garden alongside one that is being constructed during the show. This provides an opportunity to see quality landscaping in action. The garden has been designed by Paul Contello, who won an RHS Silver-Gilt medal in 2011 for his Chris Beardshaw Mentoring Scholarship garden at the Spring Show

RHS Botanical Art displays

This popular feature is back once again at the show for 2012.
