Designer Mark Gregory has been inspired by The Children’s Society’s report into young people’s happiness to create a garden where teenagers can spend time with family and friends.

The covered seating area offers an ideal place to unwind around the fire pit, eating pizza fresh from the outdoor oven. Multi-stemmed Acer campestre trees enclose the garden, providing dappled shade. Euonymus and Viburnum shrubs sit alongside aquilegias and foxgloves, whilst ferns weave through the planting, creating texture. Aquatic plants separate the large stepping stones around the naturally filtered plunge pool.

The Children’s Society Garden is a modern, urban retreat that takes inspiration from what makes young people happy and delivers it with style.
