The RNIB Garden celebrates one of the charity’s most cherished services, RNIB Pears Centre for Specialist Learning in Coventry. The garden will be rebuilt at the centre after the show, to be enjoyed by the young people who use the service.
Its thought-provoking design builds awareness and understanding of what it is like to live without sight by creating a garden where all visitors, no matter what their range of vision, can experience texture. Designer Paul Hervey-Brookes has used materials with textural qualities that have been left in their natural state where possible. Textural plants and contrasting colours create a stimulating voyage of discovery, encouraging visitors to take off their shoes and engage with the garden.
