Hamish Mackie been a professional sculptor for 15 years and has works in collections worldwide. He works in bronze and silver using the lost wax method. Chelsea follows his first US solo show in New York with Mallett. Public commissions include Merrill Lynch, Hiscox Insurance, Barclays Bank, The National Trust, the RSPCA, Woburn Abbey, Chapman University California and Gilbane Development Company Rhode Island. His work often focuses on but is not limited to wildlife. Mackie’s forthcoming exhibition of wildlife sculptures aims to spread awareness of endangered animals and raise funds to help counteract the increasing rate at which numerous species are becoming extinct. He is affiliated with Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and endeavours to help their conservation efforts.
