Philip Simmonds is firmly established as one of Britain’s leading designer makers of large-scale sculptural ceramic pots. Working from his studio in the Blackdown Hills in Devon, each piece is handmade using the finest quality English clay. Philip uses traditional coiling, throwing and glazing techniques to ensure each piece has its own colour fingerprint, patina and subtlety of shape. Fired to a high stoneware temperature, the pots are extremely robust and fully frost resistant. Majestic is Philip’s largest ever sculptural piece and stands at a height of 1.7m tall and 0.8m wide. He has created this limited edition piece in honour and celebration of HM Queen Elizabeth’s 60 year reign.
