Rachel Carter
Specialises in: Willow sculpture
Rachel designs and creates sculptural pieces for garden or landscape settings, using mild steel and woven willow. Trained in 3D Sustainable Design, she mixes her love of art and design with her passion for gardens and the environment and works using the traditional methods of metalwork and weaving. This year sees Rachel create a multi-sectional sculpture – One Hundred Sphere - made from one hundred individually woven willow spheres that are connected together to create a sculpture that can be reconfigured in different shapes and forms to suit the garden/landscape setting. In 2011 Rachel was shortlisted for RHS 2011 Chelsea Product of the Year award.
