Fresh Gardens is a new show garden category that challenges designers to come up with exactly what the name implies – something refreshing, innovative, bright and eye-catching.
The Chelsea management team has thrown down the gauntlet to designers to be brave and step outside any pre-conceived notion of what a traditional show garden should look like; to ‘think outside the box’.
Watch out for creative use of new and recycled materials, ground-breaking designs and clever use of space. These are gardens to stimulate the visitors’ imagination and catch the eye.

The only limit is the designers’ imagination and the plot dimensions - and even that is flexible. Some of the gardens will be miniature, just 3m x 3m, but there is scope for them to be up to 12m x 9m. Designers can create an area that fits their purpose, concept and budget. The message is… watch this space.
