Fencing, a fast and athletic sport, has a long and fascinating history. Gardens of the past featured fencing pistes, and Ranelagh Gardens, within the Chelsea showground, was once a regular fencing venue. Hillier Nurseries are delighted to bring fencing back to Chelsea in partnership with Beazley plc, sponsors of British fencing.
The magnificent Hilliers garden exhibit on the prestigious Monument site at the heart of the Great Pavilion takes its inspiration from fencing, features 3,500 plants woven together in a spectacular tapestry of colour and form to celebrate British sportsmanship and talent in this Olympic and Diamond Jubilee year.
