The Orchid Society of Great Britain
Specialises in: Orchids in a natural setting
The OSGB display includes orchids from all the major continents, exhibited in settings of mountain, woodland and meadow to illustrate which orchids grow on trees, on rocks and on the ground. The stand features cypripediums from North America and China, phalaenopsis from tropical Asia, anguloas, cattleyas, epidendrums, phragmipediums and oncidiums from South America, cymbidiums, dendrobiums and paphiopedilums from northern India and temperate Asia, disas and angraecums from Africa, and terrestrial orchids from Europe and Australia as well as many lesser known orchids. Man-made hybrids and natural species illustrate the diversity of orchids that can be grown in greenhouses, windowsills and gardens.
