W Robinson & Son’s striking vegetable display draws attention to the country of origin of many of the vegetables we now take for granted. A surprising few are native to our shores, while many have their origins in far-flung countries. All have adapted over time to form part of a modern, healthy diet.
“The Home of the Mammoth Onion”, established in 1860 and still run by the same family, W Robinson & Son are specialists in vegetables for exhibition and the kitchen. Many of the varieties available date back to previous centuries, including the famous mammoth onions, mammoth leeks and tiny currant tomatoes, all chosen for taste.
