As a chainsaw wood sculptor, Andy carves all sorts of figures, shapes and designs from tree trunks, stumps and logs, mainly in oak. His sustainable wood sculptures show what can be achieved with a tree that would otherwise have been disposed of, bringing a new lease of life to discarded wood with sculptures that can be enjoyed for many years to come. The sculptures come about through a collaboration of ideas between Andy and his clients, and are led ultimately by the shape and grain of the tree.
