Vote for the Plant of the Centenary now closed

One very special plant will get the title of Chelsea Plant of the Centenary.

Erysimum Blowes Mauve

Voting is now closed. Result will be announced at the show and on the website on Sunday 26 May 2013.

To celebrate the centenary of the Chelsea Flower Show the RHS convened a panel of horticultural experts to select the top ten plants launched at the Chelsea Flower Show since 1913.

Their task was a hard one – to pick one just one plant from each decade of the past 100 years. After much debate, the panel selected 10 plants launched at Chelsea which have stood the test of time and continue to feature strongly in gardens today.

The panel consisted of Bob Sweet from the RHS Shows Department, Dr Brent Elliott of the RHS Lindley Library, Colin Crosbie, Curator at RHS Wisley and well-known writers and broadcasters: Peter Seabrook, Roy Lancaster, Rachel de Thame and Carol Klein.

The winning plant will be announced on the final day of the show, 26 May 2013.
