BrandAlley Garden
This garden of contrasts has been designed to reflect the two faces of people’s lives: public and private. The design takes inspiration from a stylish room within the home; a garden can provide a valuable area for modern living when space is at a premium.
This is a place to entertain and be seen in, as well as somewhere that offers sanctuary and space for reflection. On one side, upright slate monoliths and a series of life-size amorphous sculptures represent the public face. Cut-out slits in the surrounding wall give startling glimpses of what lies within the garden. On the other side, a hidden sanctuary with natural, informal planting and a sunken seating area offers respite from the hustle and bustle of life.
