Schools wheelbarrow competition

This is the sixth year of the wheelbarrow competition and a great tribute to the inventiveness of Welsh schoolchildren.
A total of 56 designs are here this year, coming from Cardiff, Caerphilly, and the Vale of Glamorgan – all the entries link to the theme of ‘sports and shoots’. This is the only part of the show that is judged by the public, and the winning entry will be announced on Sunday afternoon.

RHS Young School Gardener of the Year
This year, as part of National Gardening Week, the RHS is launching a new competition, the Young School Gardener of the Year. With four age categories, the winner will be announced at the end of the summer school term, and then spend a day with RHS garden staff in September.
