The RHS Flower Show Cardiff offers beautiful show gardens providing visitors with novel ideas for their own gardens. The floral marquees are full of impressive displays and RHS Advisory specialists are on hand to answer your queries.
New for 2013 is the RHS Potting Bench which will be at the heart of Floral Marquee 2. This informal platform will be for nursery specialists to hold short, hands-on sessions, and for visitors to chat to growers and discover top tips.
Watch out for the exciting new Plant Village too, where plantspeople are on hand to advise and inspire.
The popular schools wheelbarrow competition returns, this year involving many schools across South Wales. Be sure to get involved in the new Shabby Chic Horticultural Competition too, by bringing your own cut flower arrangements, although be prepared to get your hands dirty! If you are interested in taking part, either download the competition pdf or contact georginabarter@rhs.org.uk.
As the first major RHS flower show of 2013, the Cardiff show comes at the ideal time to stock up on ‘must-haves’ for the gardening season ahead. Tradestands throughout the showground and a craft fair full of curios will offer an enjoyable shopping experience – and keep an eye out for the Farmers’ Market for a bounty of culinary treats.
