Inspired by the Heart of Wales railway line, this garden represents the journey from an urban environment to a woodland landscape.
The garden has two halves. In the foreground, there are paved avenues, straight lines and city features such as litter, graffiti, a roundabout, traffic lights and buildings. In the background, there is a woodland area with a meandering path, a tranquil pond and the murmur of a stream. In the centre, a water feature and grassed area provide a transition – you are leaving the noise and untidiness of the city behind and entering a peaceful area.
