Regeneration
This is a garden made largely from reworked waste materials mostly generated during landscaping, such as pallets, waste slate from the production of roof tiles, rusted drainage grates, logs and wood chip saved from garden clearances and broken tools. The outer enclosure is a pallet fence rising to 1.8m high at the back. This fence has been sanded and painted to enhance its look and also supports trailing and foliage plants. The inner section of the garden has a curving wall welsh slate wall that rises as it unfurls from the centre, like a fern unfurling in spring, to enclose a seating area with a built-in seat. The wall continues to curve away, supporting a raised planting area as it drops down.
