Work Rest Play has been designed for a couple who have taken early retirement but continue to run a small business from home; this large garden room serves both as an office and somewhere to relax.

The easily maintained and colourful garden features multi-stemmed birch trees underplanted with heathers, conifers, ferns and grasses. The focal point of the garden is the Humphrey Bowden acer fountain, which brings another dimension to the design when illuminated at night. The couple’s interest in art is highlighted by the strategic placing of Lilia Umana artworks around the garden.
