Home Grown
Wander through fields of golden crops, orchards and a market garden in the Home Grown exhibit to discover the astonishing range of produce grown in the UK today.
Growing Tastes Marquee
Enjoy a feast of produce from beans and peas to herbs, speciality chillies and ‘elephant’ garlic. Experts from some of the UK’s best fruit and vegetable nurseries are on hand to give cooks and gardeners alike valuable information on growing their own, and visitors will be able to take home what they need to get started. Look out for delicious strawberries in hanging baskets and very unusual veg and herbs.
Cookery Theatre
Create delicious dishes from home-grown produce, with a little help from the Cookery Theatre. Top British chefs join specialist fruit and vegetable growers for a full programme of cookery demonstrations and talks.
Shakespeare’s Allotment
Experience all the horticultural delights of Elizabethan England by visiting the Shakespearean allotment. Designed by Barry Locke, head gardener of The Shakespeare’s Birthplace Trust, the allotment will showcase a range of heritage vegetables including skirrets (a species of water parsnip), crimson-flowered broad beans, jersey kale, purple carrots, and quince trees.
