Schoolchildren in the south east have been busy designing scarecrows for the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show Sporting Champions Scarecrow Competition.
Gerrards Cross CE School's Tom Daley scarecrow scored top marks among the show visitors, with their offering portraying the Olympic diver plunging into the pool.
Second place went to Alton Infants with their medal-winning scarecrows, while Bramley C of E took bronze with 'Zara Phillips and Henry'.
The shortlisted scarecrows were invited to the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, along with the whole class involved in their making. All participating schools also received a bird seed prize pack, donated by CJ Wildlife.
Schools can still register with the Campaign for School Gardening. The Campaign provides fantastic advice and resources for schools to help engage young gardeners in all sorts of activities.
